DERBY REACH REGIONAL PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Your dog can run, play, swim, and even sleep at Derby Reach Regional Park. With camping available on-site, it has everything you need for a fun weekend escape with your family and four-legged companion. You’ll find multiple fenced-in areas to let your dog off-leash, including one specifically for small dogs. Keep safety in mind when it comes to swimming in the river, as its known to have swift currents. All in all, we recommend visiting this spot, as it continues to be one of our favourite places to visit for a dog walk.

YORKSON COMMUNITY PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Yorkson Community Park is one of the newest spaces to check out in Langley with your dog. A considerable amount of planning has gone into ensuring this space is worth visiting. It has all of the staples you hope to find in a park, including separate off-leash areas for large and small dogs, parking, washrooms, drinking stations, and even a dog wash. Unique to this destination, you’ll also find obstacles for your dog to overcome, including ramps and metal hoops.

UPLANDS DOG OFF-LEASH PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Your dog will get all of the exercise it needs at the spacious Uplands Off-Leash Dog Park. There’s a large area where your pet can roam freely or play fetch with you. Beyond the designated off-leash area, you can also access nearby dirt and gravel trails as long as you have your dog on a leash. The park itself is equipped with essential amenities such as picnic tables, garbage cans, and washrooms, so it’s an ideal destination for your next dog walk in Langley.

BROOKSWOOD DOG PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Brookswood Park is a popular spot in Langley. As one of the largest dog-friendly open spaces in the area, you’ll never run out of room for a proper game of fetch. Providing sufficient exercise is essential for your dog’s well-being, so we highly recommend visiting this park. However, it can be prone to muddy patches during the rainy season, so make sure you plan accordingly and take advantage of the hose to rinse off excess dirt. We suggest bringing towels to protect your vehicle and dry off your dog.

WALNUT GROVE PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Walnut Grove Park keeps it simple with a fairly small enclosed area for off-leash dogs. Regardless, it’s a great spot for a quick visit, offering just enough space for your dog to play and socialize. If you’re looking to get your dog moving a bit more, there are nearby trails that allow dogs as long as they remain on-leash. Overall, this park is popular with the surrounding neighbourhoods, but it’s also a welcoming destination when you need a change of scenery.

It’s a wonderful space for bringing people together to enjoy the outdoors and get to know their neighbours. There’s an off-leash area for dogs to play in, as well as a community garden for people to enjoy. This space was designed with inclusivity in mind, offering wheelchair accessible pathways and garden plots.

CAMPBELL VALLEY REGIONAL PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Campbell Valley Regional Park is an excellent destination for the whole family. Your dog will love the off-leash area, but you can also explore the many hiking trails. Keep in mind leashes are required in most of this park, and you’ll need to watch out for horseback riders in the area. Take your time wandering through the paths so you can enjoy viewing the lush marshlands, creeks, and wildlife.

BRAE ISLAND REGIONAL PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Leash up your dog and head out for a hike at Brae Island Regional Park. While there aren’t any off-leash areas on the island, we recommend this park for its well-maintained trails and scenic viewpoints. Pet-friendly campsites are available on-site so you can spend time enjoying all that the outdoors have to offer. This location is particularly comfortable for the whole family, offering a general store, washrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and a pool.

OLD YALE DOG PARK (LANGLEY, BC)

Old Yale Park is yet another great spot to visit with your dog. In addition to walking trails, there’s an enclosure where you can let your dog off-leash to run around. With parking, washrooms, and benches, it’s a popular space for a quick dog walk. We suggest bringing along a frisbee or ball so you can take advantage of the large fenced-in area for a fun game of fetch that will give your dog the exercise it needs.
