Canine College
Canine College is focused on making your life with your puppy or adult dog more enjoyable and rewarding. Our dog training is an in-board obedience program. Your dog stays with us and receives around-the-clock exercise, socialization, training, and affection. Alternatively, we can also create custom packages if you would prefer dog training classes in your home.
We are located on 10.5 Acre Campus, including a rural forest for trail hikes and search and rescue training. Facilities on Campus include a full agility course, two three-acre training fields, indoor training buildings, a full set of vehicles, and an indoor facility for detection and scent work.
LEVEL 1 (4 WEEKS)
In-Board, Basic
Our basic training classes teach your dog to perform the 7 most functional and essential commands on-leash, allowing for peace of mind in any situation.
LEVEL 2 (3 WEEKS)
In-Board, Advanced
Our advanced dog training classes teach your canine to perform the commands of the basic obedience course, off-leash, at a greater distance from the owner.
TRAINING FOR LIFE
Free Maintenance
Once your dog completes our course, yourself and your companion receive free maintenance training of the course curriculum for life.
The College Experience
We treat our pet obedience program as a school, meaning each one of the dogs enrolled is a student. Our training is based on positive, motivational methods that foster willing and eager participation throughout the training process. From industry-leading techniques to tried-and-true methods, our diverse approach allows us to find a balanced solution that’s unique to each dog.
Behaviour modification training requirements can be discussed and implemented during the level 1 and 2 dog training course. For instance, this may include fearful behaviour, nuisance barking, and aggression issues towards dogs or people.
During your dog’s schooling, we’ll instill respectful manners that are applicable to your day-to-day life. Additionally, we’ll introduce your dog to multiple environments and levels of distraction throughout training to encourage generalization. Whether you’re at home, the office, the beach or on a hike, your dog will be the most well-behaved and happy one around.
Aaron’s Guidance, One on One
When your dog completes our obedience training course, you’ll receive a free one-on-one private session with our head dog trainer, Aaron Kemp, teaching you how to use the commands your dog has learned. We stand behind our dog training techniques, which is why we also included free maintenance training of the course curriculum for life.
In-Board Basic Training
4 WEEK TRAINING COURSE
Our basic obedience course teaches your dog to perform the 7 most functional and essential commands such as “Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heel, Off, Bed, Place (a bed command).”
After a four week stay with us, you will be able to pick your dog up and receive a free one-on-one session with our head dog trainer, teaching you how to maintain good standards.
Free One-on-One Maintenance Training Sessions for Life
Once your dog completes our course, you and your companion receive free maintenance training of the course curriculum for life.
In-Board Advanced Training
3 WEEK TRAINING COURSE
Our advanced dog obedience course is for the owner that wishes to have complete off-leash control of their dog. Your dog will learn to obey the commands learned in the basic obedience course, but now off-leash, at a greater distance with higher levels of distraction.
At the end of your dog’s stay, you will be able to pick them up and receive a one-on-one session with our head trainer, teaching you how to handle your dog at a distance, off-leash.
Free One-on-One Maintenance Training Sessions for Life
Once your dog completes our course, you and your companion receive free maintenance training of the course curriculum for life.
Pack Walks & Private Session
Alumni meet twice monthly at the training centre and we go on a guided walk together and continue to provide advice and guidance to the owners of our students.
A great option for busy folks wanting their dog to get exercise and on-leash obedience while roaming around. Your dog will get picked up from your home, and walked through some of their favourite routes in the neighbourhood.
